GDP - In real terms, the Mining and Quarrying sector grew by 1.89% (year-on-year) in the first quarter of 2026. Compared to the same quarter of 2025 and the fourth quarter of 2025, GDP - Real GDP growth in the manufacturing sector in the first quarter of 2026 was 3.29% (year-on-year), higher than the same quarter of 2025 and higher than the preceding quarter by 1,60% points and 2.17% points, respectively. GDP - In real terms, Trade’s year-on-year growth stood at 2.08% in the first quarter of 2026, which was 0.29% points higher than the rate recorded in the previous year at 1.78%, and 0.08% points higher than in the preceding quarter at 2.00% growth rate. GDP - The construction sector contribution to total real GDP was 4.85% in the first quarter of 2026; higher than its contribution of 4.74% in the same quarter of the previous year GDP - In real terms, the non-oil sector contributed 96.08% to the nation’s GDP in the first quarter of 2026, higher than the share recorded in the first quarter of 2025 GDP - The real growth of the oil sector was 2.57 (year-on-year) in Q1 2026, indicating an increase of 0.70% points relative to the rate recorded in the corresponding quarter of 2025 (1.87%). Capital Importation - The total value of capital importation into Nigeria in the first quarter of 2022 stood at US$1,573.14 million from US$2,187.63 million in the preceding quarter showing a decrease of 28.09%. When compared to the corresponding quarter of 2021, capital importation decreased by 17.46% from US$1,905.89 million.
